The Sinjar Academy Board of Directors has announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art, non-profit academy in Sinjar to provide quality education opportunities to the citizens of the northwestern Nineveh region, which is home to many Yazidis and other ethnic minorities.

Sinjar Academy (Sinjar Academy) will provide its educational programs in electronic form in the field of English as a second language, information technology, business administration, and students will also be offered various courses aimed at developing students ' skills.

Within five years, the academy plans to register the academy as a private university in Iraq, obtain permits and recognition from the relevant authorities, and build a university campus in Sinjar.

Sinjar Academy will rely on partnerships with other reputable universities to develop academic programs. The academy recruits’ experts and professors from all over the world for various faculties.

Financially, the academy will initially rely on grants and volunteers to be able to provide free education to Yazidi students for the first three years. The long-term financial plan is for Sinjar Academy to become self-sufficient through the revenue generated from the services provided by the Academy, or through tuition fees. Sinjar Academy will remain a non-profit organization for public works.
